Pacific Rim Review | GES

ges-sa.com | "It’s very rare that you get surprised by a science fiction movie it seems that most current American science fiction is a remake of older concepts or Korean and Japanese cinema and literature. Don’t worry about spoiler in this review, there is not really that much of a mind-blowing plot in the movie, the summarised plot is basically a robot smashing a monster, also there is nothing new about mechanical and biological weapons being built by local, foreign, extraterrestrial or inter-dimensional governments. But Pacific Rim is really well executed, there’s normally a character that steals the attention in the movie either the villain or the hero (like Kong or Godzilla) but in this case its both the forces of good (Jaeger) and evil (Kaiju) hold equal footing for attention in the movie."
