Yeah same here, Tom Mison nails his role in the show and I love the way you have small shots of him being confused with new technology he's not used to.

The only problem I have with it is that the creators have said him and Abbie will become a couple by season 2 which I wouldn't want to happen untill season 4 or 5 if it lasts that long. I mean saying that means his wife won't return, whether she's dead or not remains to be seen.

You can obviously tell though that the people behind FRINGE wrote this, it just has their spark in the show.

Yes, putting them together that soon is not a good idea as far as I'm concerned too. I think it's always better to wait and let the feeling have time to grow especially because of the way he feels about his wife.
