In the 2011′s Thor, moviegoers witnessed an arrogant prince take steps towards becoming the heroic God of Thunder, much of his power stemming from the mighty hammer Mjolnir. With it, Thor can leap vast distances, virtually granting him the ability to fly. The square-headed hammer can fly on its own, returning to its user when thrown or summoned, but it can only be used by someone deemed “worthy.” It’s a mystical artifact that according to Marvel Comics and hinted at in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was forged from a dying star.
