If you mean the production value, excitement and action of the new Trek then YES! HOWEVER, it must also have the stories and acting and writing of the old Trek. Then you have a WIN-WIN.
Personally I don't see how they could write another Star Trek TV show that was original, there have been 5 different series, hundreds of episodes...what storylines could they do that weren't just a rehash of the others?
