Depends on whether he can put on a good English accent.
Casting him as Alfred wouldn't be any worse than casting Ben Affleck as Batman, or casting a black person as Perry White or casting a woman as Jimmy Olsen.
I still think they should get Michael Caine back in to be Alfred, he was amazing in the trilogy
