Starring Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Terrence Howard, Prisoners is a tense thriller/mystery centering around the abduction of two children. Its also a study on the level of desperation a father reaches in the face of losing his daughter. The actors do an incredible job throughout, but does the story stack up?

As the titular character in Bubble Boy and the lovelorn admirer of Jennifer Aniston’s character in The Good Girl, Jake Gyllenhaal was high on our radar in the early 2000s.
