The Man Cave Cinema writes; The World's End brings together old friends aiming to recreate their past for what was supposed to be the ultimate reunion. Sure, this is a tagline from the official synopsis of the film, but I'm thinking more about the reunion of writer/director Edgar Wright with frequent collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, who together are looking to recreate their past successes of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Collectively, these films are known as the "Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy", where each entry features a scene with a different flavour of Cornetto ice cream. The films -- all of which were co-written by Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg -- each pay homage to a different genre and in this latest entry, we are treated to the duo's typical comedy infusion with a new Science Fiction backdrop. How does Green Mint Chocolate Chip -- the Cornetto featured in The World's End -- actually taste? Unsurprisingly delicious.
