Is Jar Jar Binks Returning To The New Star Wars

Skewed and Reviewed have posted an opinion piece which wonders if Disney is considering returning the loathed Jar Jar Binks to future Star Wars projects. They cite the fact that younger viewers liked the character and that the goofy character might hold marketing appeal for family-friendly Disney down the road.

I don't know. It might be fun to see him return but he has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder which he frequently uses the bottle as an escape mechanism. His wife left him for another Gungan and so he has no way of supporting his special needs child so he frequently sells his body on the streets of Naboo.

I think they will have to address what happened to him at some point.

RetrospectRealm3899d ago

Nope. In TFU he is seen carbon freezed. Even so, it doesn't really matter what happened to him. He helped Qui Gon and Co. in Episode I then became a senator. Enough said.

Bad title. You make it sound like this is a rumor...

Garethvk3899d ago

His name has been mentioned in rumors.

RetrospectRealm3899d ago

Yeah but who in their right mind would even think for a second to believe them? Even so, I was stating that all this article does is say that it's possible somehow that he could return. The title makes it seem like there's a new rumor afoot.

I hope they bring him back to kill him in the most horrible way imaginable.
