Chillopedia: Sometimes watching a foreign film is difficult, as you have to be familiar with the culture to grasp the film’s message. One universal theme you’ll find, though, is comedy: Everyone may not laugh at the same things, but everyone loves to laugh.
Trollhunter works on a number of levels: fairytale, fantasy, supernatural adventure, political satire, workplace comedy, but the most immediately satisfying characteristic is Ovredal’s take on Scandinavian legends.

This film is one of those rubbish films that claims that the story is true. This film is complete and utter garbage and I want that time back.
The problem with this movie is that it falls between "scary" and "funny". But if you think it`s meant to be taken serious when they say the story is true, you don`t understand much.
It`s a clichè/sarcastic movie about norwegian folklore, but without interesting characters. It`s not very funny except some quotes which you have to be norwegian to understand. They should have tried a more scary direction. Too bad the director isn`t professional.
A group of students travel deep into the Norwegian woods in hope of documenting a recent spate of animal slaughters. Believed to be the work of a wild bear, the students come across Hans (Otto Jespersen - Odd Little Man) a hunter who they believe is tracking the bear. By following him they discover that Hans is no bear hunter though and what they find is far more dangerous than they ever imagined.
