Edgar Wright Confirms We'll Meet Hank Pym in Ant-Man

The other day, Joss Whedon revealed that Avengers: Age of Ultron won't feature Ultron's creator, mad scientist Hank Pym. Just now, we were interviewing Edgar Wright about his new film The World's End, and he told us that we will, indeed, meet Hank Pym in Wright's Ant-Man movie.

I'm confused, Joss Whedon already said that Hank Pym will not be in "Avengers: Age of Ultron". But the question becomes, why not? IF HE IS GOING TO BE IN ANT-MAN!?!?

They're changing up the Ultron's origin, meaning he won't be in Avengers 2, since in that film Hank will have nothing to do with the villain's creation. That doesn't mean he can't pop up in Ant-Man though.

could Ant-Man not technically be taking place (at least in part) prior to the events of Avengers 2 and we'll see more Ultron? I have to be honest, I know very little about the source material.

I'm with you there Crazay, when it comes to Ant-Man and Ultron, my knowledge of the source material is very limited. Much the same with Guardians of the Galaxy.

yeah, my bad, didn't consider that.

But in all fairness, it seems like they could have had Hank Pym in Avengers 2 as well, but it seems like they have other plans.
