The 2013 BET Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on June 30, 2013. The awards ceremony recognizes talent in music, movies, sports and other such fields of entertainment, hosted by comedian Chris Tucker. This past year was a phenomenal one for various athletes, actors, and musicians, some of whom left the awards ceremony with a BET award in hand. Kendrick Lamar and Drake were the only two artists to win multiple awards, with both rappers winning three BET awards. “Think Like A Man” won the award for Best Movie, with Jamie Foxx winning the BET award for Best Actor. Gabrielle Douglas took home two awards in sports categories, and Dwayne Wade was honored with the Humanitarian Award, with Charlie Wilson winning the Lifetime Achievement Award. The show was filled with laughter, memorable musical performances and noteworthy acceptance speeches.
