Just in time for the film's 20th anniversary, Gamerhub.tv looks at the biggest flaws of this Hollywood disaster.
They should have hired the actors from the cartoon series.
Still bothers me that they never tried again to actually make a movie like the games. Still gotta like Dennis Hopper in the movie and that I know a couple of people who look like the Goombas.
I guess I shouldn't admit it....I actually liked this movie when I first saw it :(
I still watch the film and don't understand the beef with it. Is it the best movie ever? No. But it's not exactly like Mario had a stellar plot to ruin.
Man i remember how much I was disappointed when i watched that movie as a kid, maybe i should watch it again just for fun.
To me the cast was good though, the problem was the entire script and direction of the movie was a total mess. The movie makes no sense and it was creepy too.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the real problem with the movie is that it was based on a game that is completely incoherent from a narrative standpoint. It's about a couple of Italian plumbers who warp to a world populated by overgrown mushrooms and do battle with dinosaurs. How do you make that into a live action movie?
u call it a disaster i call it a great memory this movie was great for me
the five biggest problems? why is it spread over seven pages then? you won't be getting your hits off me.
during that time a super mario film is unfilmable unless they change a lot of details which they did on the film at hand, they changed a lot of concepts like toad, goobas, yoshi and a lot more, they should not have done that film to begin with because it was a disappointment. although the actor who played mario tried his best, i cannot say anything about the other actors who seemed to not know their characters.
What? I reported this saying to take out the "(Gamerhub.tv)"...
Good catch. I recall reports about that on n4g not too long ago.
I don't understand why he obviously marked my report as fixed and then people approved it?
Retrospect> The name of the site is Gamerhub.tv. It's actually in the name, not the web address. I explained this already...
