"So what we ultimately have here is an adaptation that just skirts the possibilities of perfection. Although the film is “great” once it gets going, the stylistic choices override the substance of the film for a little too long. Is it worth seeing? Yes. It’s solid, it’s well performed, and it’s intelligent. It just misses it’s full potential by a few marks."
