The trailer for Ender's Game has finally arrived, and it looks promising.
Ender's Game is one of my favorite books of all-time. I guess that isn't saying much since I still have to brush up on my novel reading, but even so, it is truly a sci-fi masterpiece.
That is why I was personally afraid when I heard the news that Gavin Hood was chosen as the writer and director of a film adaptation. For those of you who do not know, he was the director of the truly awful X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I suppose that this is attributable to the writers since Hood did not contribute to the screenplay, but nonetheless, that film is in his filmography so it's only natural for me to be worried.
