THR:
The Weinstein Company has acquired worldwide rights, excluding the U.S., South Africa and India, to the live-action remake of Yasuomi Umetsu’s Japanese anime movie Kite.
The film, which has just completed shooting in South Africa, stars Samuel L. Jackson, India Eisley and Australia's Callan McAuliffe and was directed by Ralph Ziman (The Zoo Keeper, Gangster's Paradise: Jerusalema).
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Interesting. An anime movie adaption with Samuel L. Jackson? YES.
Anime adaptation + Samuel L. Jackson = Stellar combo.
