I mean that makes perfect sense. Its like bringing in the Wedding cake before the our´derves.

I'm really happy with this move. I don't want some cop out BS, the villain gets Kryptonite and thats how he has a chance of defeating Superman. Not to mention Kryptonite used WAY too much.

TheHergulaX4031d ago

You´re right, it would be the easiest approach for making a Superman movie, I´m glad that the writers and director are challenging themselves, to create a more realistic Superman film with better story development.

I hope it's as good as Watchmen. I love that movie!

Zack Snyder's proven he can do great comic book adaptations, but when it comes to original material, it an be a bit iffy.

ajax174031d ago

Yeah, I still haven't seen Sucker Punch. He really needs to just stick with directing.

did you know?
Watchmen, the screenplay i mean, was written by David Hayter.
yeah, that David Hayter.

its good to hear that they are trying something new. it is tiring enough to see lex luthor and kryptonites in ALL superman movies, they should concentrate on building supermans character, lois lane, the kents and other characters all in one film, the exclusion of kryptonite is a breathe of fresh air and its a gamble worth trying.

RetrospectRealm4030d ago

I remember there being a couple frames of Superman on his hands and knees coughing up blood in the first full trailer. People speculated it would be because of the kryptonite. Why else would he be coughing up blood?

TheHergulaX4030d ago (Edited 4030d ago )

Maybe cuz he got his ass whooped by General Zod? Like thats what I was thinking all along, yet in retrospect Kryptonite would have made more sense for me to think of.

Either way, I aint sure, Im just speculating myself as well.

RetrospectRealm4030d ago

Superman is stated to be completely invulnerable to anything and everything except Kryptonite.

hazelamy4029d ago

there are being in the DCU that are powerful enough to really hurt Superman, i'd think a group of Kryptonians with similar powers but military combat training could do some damage.
and who knows what Kryptonian combat training would be like,a technologically advanced race might have very advanced training techniques.

so he'll be outnumbered, by opponents who could well be far better trained than him.

personally, i prefer seeing Superman go up against somebody with a comparable power level rather than him getting weakened by Kryptonite and beaten up by nameless thugs.
