Oh man that looks awesome. I think that whoever it was at MS that said no to Neil Blomkamp as the director of Halo should be fired because he's surely eating a big old helping or crow right about now.

nobody at ms rejected blomkamp, I actually think they liked the idea of blomkamp working together with peter jackson.

the project fell apart because the budget got to the point where the backing studios no longer wanted any part in it.

Personally, I feel that ms has enough money and the marketing experience to fund it themselves, retain creative control, and say "f u" to those hollywood studios.

I remember an article that said they shot him down because the budget was getting too high for an unknown to be at the helm. I fully agree that MS, in the attempt to take over the living room could well get into their own production and distribution and using Halo as a launch pad for such a venture would be a smart move.

Looks pretty good, it seems like it will live up to the hype.

Looks cool, but there's waaaaay too many futuristic movies coming out this year. This one, the tom cruise one, the will smith one, the one with fighting robots, world war z, and im sure theres plenty others. I mean they all look AWESOME but still. Terrible timing.

bald headed mat damon looks badass, and is jodie foster a villain? she never had a villain role yet and i dont think it suits her. the movie though looks solid but i dont think it will be better than pacific rim or after earth or oblivion for that matter.
