A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, "Carrie" is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
The trailer looks promising and the special effects we have now in this time showcases a slight edge against the classic, however, the classic carrie has a chilling atmosphere and an eerie musical tone. i hope the trailer that was shown still holds up more surprises because if not, then this might be another good remake but still cannot top the original. chloe grace moretz is a proven impressive young actress of this time but she does not have the chilling aura that was delivered by the original carrie.
I don't remember Stephen King's Carrie being anywhere nearly as good as the original Sissy Spacek version. Credit should go to the scriptwriters. This new Carrie also looks like it's more based on the original movie, and not the book.
