Top 6 Moments From The Original Evil Dead

Best Horror Movies says "We at BHM are eagerly anticipating The Evil Dead (in theaters April 5, 2013) remake and keeping our fingers crossed that it will show some respect for the original and not attempt a cheap copy of a classic. Since Sam Raimi had a hand in the writing it is possible our hopes will not be dashed. ? (Culture, Evil Dead)

I'm really looking forward to the remake, but the original we always hold a special place in my heart.

Evil dead is one of my personal favorite movie franchise ever, the first movie i saw was already army of darkness and i got already hooked with it and i decided to see the first two and i was surprised how better they even where compared to part 3, i think the first movie was the best even if a lot says part 2 was a better remake. evil dead franchise has a lot of classic moments especially the jump scare cellar scenes, tension scenes involving ash and linda, and the movie offers a lot of comedic timings.

This one was funny, and scary at the same time. New one looks like it just has more gore, and is simple. In my opinion, I don't think it'll be good for much compared to this one. So I'm choosing to not watch it. Not dogging it though, I personally just dislike any remakes of movies anyway.

I can't wait for the new one. I'm eager to see what they do.

I think what helped make the original so scary was the fact that it was genuinely scary!
What you were looking at was scary & what was about to happen was scary. It did'nt rely heavily on shock value or "pop-up" horror (aah, a face pop'd up from somewhere & I was'nt supposed to expect it).

I'm really hoping that they can retain this in the remake. The trailer looks very promising, but we all know how easily it can go all wrong.
(crosses my fingers)

i agree that the first evil dead was original on what it was and uniqueness provides attention among moviegoers. the new movie heavily relies on gore based on the trailers provided and gore is something we get a lot this days.
