How Much Screen Time Should The Original Star Wars Characters be Given

Skewed and Reviewed have posted an opinion piece asking how much screen time should the original "Star Wars" characters be given in the new sequel series. The article asks if fans will be willing to accept seeing the beloved characters in an older state and if in doing so, this will limit their activities in the films and will tarnish their legacy.

The story is too old to be commented.

Thank you, I have debated this alot the last couple weeks and I decided to write the article yesterday. If they could be done in a way that does not diminish them or their legacy I would say that they should give them plenty of time. Does anyone know if the talks regarding the classic characters are for one film or all three? I would think that if it is not for all three, that would be a huge hint that some will be killed off.

Lucas was very against killing off the leads but this is Disney's show now.

The original characters shouldn't dominate the movie, but they should also be given more than just being a part of the background or popping in for a few seconds with pointless dialogue.

there inclusion in the film should be of significance. people will be very critical of their participation if there sole purpose is just to be there. a forced cameo might be minus to the film and it is not the quantity of screentime but the quality. i think a scene with all three of them together having a impactful dialogue will be powerful scene. death scenes if done properly could also be a plus.
