IGN:
Two-time Academy Award-winner Ang Lee (Life of Pi, Brokeback Mountain, Hulk) is set to direct a new FX drama pilot Tyrant. The project is Lee’s first following Life of Pi and will mark his television directorial debut. The pilot, from Homeland creators Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff and Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Lost), tells the story of an unassuming American family drawn into the workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation.
"Ang Lee has demonstrated time and again an ability to present characters with such depth and specificity that they reveal the universal human condition,” said John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks. “No one could be a more perfect film maker to bring Howard Gordon, Gideon Raff, and Craig Wright's Tyrant to indelible life."
Dinner with the Parents Review: It's a family comedy series following the Langers, who often turn their family dinners into a disruptively chaotic affair.
Bros Review: The series, as the title suggests, is about two adult men who want to behave like children and we are not here for that.
Going Home With Tyler Cameron Review: This is a simple, no-nonsense but cliched watch, with Cameron's boyish charms taking centre stage.
FX always has good shows...I'll have to wait and check it out.
Exciting stuff.
