Even more news on 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'. Earlier today, Marc Webb tweeted a photo of a vault with the number 14. Fans have been going crazy over the internet saying that the photo teases us greatly that Venom will be featured in the film.

I hope not. You don't just randomly introduce Venom, and then to go and create an entire new back story for him...
Personally i think Sony is best running with the new Venom comics. Bring Flash Thompson and make his Venom. The could "skip" a few years, or end ASM with them graduating and Flash going into the army. Then when making Venom, take the same actor, and show him getting hurt and Venom being used to bring him back.
I think that Venom makes for better stories that stand on their own since he is constantly fighting it. Its a lot better than simply making a villain movie.
i hope so and dont hope so at the same time, i want venom to be of equal focus in the movie next to spiderman not a side villian leading up to the next movie
hell make a venom movie if need be but not like this when its clear who the main focus will probably be in amazing spiderman 2
I agree with Soldierone. They can't bring him in this early but show us his story in 2 as a side character and how he becomes Spidey's ultimate nemesis, then when the 3rd part comes out...UNLEASH THE BEAST!
Please let this just be a joke. It's bad enough that guy who was in chronicle is in the new spiderman series. But now they want to make him the new venom. Eddie was always the original venom and it should stay that way. Making Harry Venom is like making aunt May the new Black Cat lol
Hopefully it's not portrayed by a guy like Eric Forman from that 70's show again. How do you get a bad ass character like that and typecast such a wiener to act it out. I could have accepted it if the dad Red would have been there, slapped him around a lil bit and called him a dumbass and maybe venom could have destroyed red. That would have been the only way I could have enjoyed it.
Hope that they come up with a better story and make it a bigger arc not just a side story.
