Johnny Depp's Magician Movie 'Mortimer Wintergreen' Hires 'Skins' Writer

THR Heat Vision:
Playwright and scribe Jack Thorne, best known for his work on British TV's Skins and co-creating Cast-Offs, will pen Warner Bros.’ magical adventure movie Mortimer Wintergreen.

Johnny Depp is producing with his Infinitum Nihil partner Christi Dembrowski. John Carls of Wild Things Productions also is producing. I want the old Depp back. I'm glad he's doing Jack Sparrow again and I don't care if other people don't like that character or not...he's just the best at it.

I also am looking forward to The Lone Ranger after seeing the looks better than I was expecting. I still want to see him do The Thin Man because I could picture him as Nick Charles since I'm so familiar with that character (I've only seen those 6 movies about 50 times).
