The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has a nifty award ceremony every year, perhaps you’ve heard of it? The Oscars are, for some, the pinnacle of achievement in the world of motion pictures. Apart from success at the box-office, recognition from your peers and industry professionals can go a long way towards proving that you’re on the right track as a filmmaker or actor. The nominations for the 2013 Academy Awards have been announced and since I’m a smug opinionated bastard I feel I can pass judgement on who should & might win come February 24th. In short these are my predictions for the winners in this year’s most competitive Oscars categories. Let’s get into the thick of who’s who and what it is they’re vying for.
