J.J. Abrams Talks Star Trek Into Darkness, 3D, Mission Impossible 5, & The Fringe Finale

Collider:
Today, at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, J.J. Abrams was in attendance to talk about what fans can expect when the NBC drama series Revolution returns with new episodes on March 25th. As usual, the ever busy executive producer was giving of his time and took a few moments to chat about some of his upcoming and current projects. Abrams gave updates about the Alfonso Cuarón supernatural drama series for NBC, the futuristic robot cop series that Joel Wyman is developing, that he has not yet seen the Fringe finale but that the script was incredibly emotional, how far along the next Mission: Impossible film is, if there’s anything he’s written in the past that he’d still love to be able to get into production, how excited he is for people to see Star Trek Into Darkness, and how difficult it is to maintain the mystery and secrecy for his projects. Check out what he had to say after the jump. (Cinema, Fringe, Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, Revolution, Star Trek Into Darkness, TV)

I can't wait for another Mission Impossible...I loved the last one. I just want to really be as good if not better than the last one like the 4th one beat out the 3rd.

mission impossible 3 was a POS compared to MI2.
to beat MI3 it really didnt take much.
MI4 was pretty ok. nothing spectacular.

Never thought I would hear someone say MI2 was better than 3. All it was is slow-mo fest with dual wielding pistols. And I still love the movie, but it is by far the weakest MI.

I thought MI2 was the worst of the group by far but I guess everyone has their own taste in what they like in movies. The last one Ghost Protocol blew them all out the window...I thought it was just awesome in everyway with the characters, writing and action...but that's opinion.
