This looks like it might be really good and perhaps the goriest horror film to hit theaters in a long time.

Looks really good, and you can see already in the trailer the similarities with the original.

This film is long over due. Evil Dead how it was always suppose to be!

'Evil Dead how it was always suppose to be!'

Hardly, the original movies will always be the best. To state that a remake is what it was always supposed to be is beyond ridiculous.

"To state that a remake is what it was always supposed to be is beyond ridiculous.", no it's a fact.

I'm in not saying the originals aren't amazing but they're funny, they weren't suppose to be funny. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are the ones who decided to make this remake. They're not doing it for the sake of it, they're doing it so that it can be how it was always suppose to be, a horror film.

Wasen't the only one that was supposed to be scary the first one?(Which it was for the time) The second one had so much purposeful humor in it there is no way they intended it to be scary and it came off wrong. I mean the crazy laughing dear head for example. No way that could come off as anything other then funny.

Still I like the way this looks. It still kinda feels like the original Evil Dead in a way but also brings it up a notch. It doesn't feel like a cheap cash in which most remakes do. Can't wait to see it.

Good gawd...I don't even know what to say. Must watch.

How about some original ideas for a change? I know I know, that's asking a lot.

Genki4122d ago

Originality solely for the sake of it never equals success. You can't just throw new ideas at the wall and see if they stick. If improvement of an existing concept or idea results in something good, then mission accomplished.
