Hugh Jackman was rumored last month to be joining the cast of director Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past, but now the filmmaker has made the casting official via his Twitter account.

Excellent. I only hope that Future Past doesn't get too far into the previous versions of the mutants. I love the cast from First Class and what they brought to the parts, and really want the film to stay focused on them.
