The Ultimate Clue Regarding the Star Trek Into Darkness Villain?

IGN: At this point, talking about who Benedict Cumberbatch's villain is in Star Trek Into Darkness is just complete overkill. There's been so much speculation from fans and secrecy and (probable) misdirection on the part of director J.J. Abrams and his team that even if we did guess who the character is, there'd be no way of confirming it anyway.

But! Let's talk a bit more about it anyway, shall we? Because the new trailer that hit yesterday has given us a clue that simply cannot be ignored. Obviously, beware of potential spoilers…

You know what? I really don't understand why Abrams is even being secretive about it. I honestly don't think it matters. I mean, we'll know within the first act of the movie what's going on, so it's not like it'll be some big reveal at the end of the film. Just seems like a big hype tactic.

Because that's his whole schtick ranging from Lost to Cloverfield. He runs with this secretive nature that creates buzz.

I get that's his 'thing' but it's starting to come off as more annoying. I get it with Cloverfield, the monster was a big reveal, but on a big tentpole like Star Trek? More frustrating (in my opinion) than effective marketing.

Meh, I've always thought he was a bit overrated and most of it was due to his secrecy.
