Excuse me while I scoop my jaw up off the floor.
That final scene. Wow. With Deb walking in on Dexter, gun drawn, in the midst of another murder. Shades of the premiere. And Dexter echoing Hannah's acceptance of death. In that moment, Dexter, for the first time, acted in a totally selfless manner; willing to die to save the "goodness" in Deb. But when the shot rang out, he was spared, and LaGuerta was done.

As much as i freakin love the show I wanted it to end this season with the show series going out with a bang. They did pace it perfectly though, wasn't repetitive like other seasons.
I haven't liked her for awhile and wanted her character to go one way or another for the past several seasons and I'm glad they finally did it and in addition made it mean something so it wasn't just useless.
Looking forward to the next season to see how much what happened has damaged Deb.
