The Walking Dead Review: "Say the Word" [Geek Binge]

Geek Binge: Following the events of last episode, it was expected that The Walking Dead would slow down just a little bit. I mean, that tends to happen after the death of many regulars—you kind of need an episode to digest things a little, to relax a little bit after such a hectic string of events. Well…”relax” is a subjective term when it comes to The Walking Dead. It was a slow episode though, despite a choice number of zombie kills.

Wasn't a horrible episode per say...just pretty slow and ultimately unimportant. Still, that cliffhanger was cool.

Rather boring filler episode....and just after the exciting episode? Whoever pieces things together needs a new job lol

SPOILERS

-The whole story with the governor is more slow and boring than last season combined. I know he is a good character, but come on with the long dialogue scenes....

-Andrea's character is not believable at all. The most bi polar decision maker ever?!

-The cool thing is at least they are incorporating things from the comics! The phone call for example, just sucks they ended it there....

With Lori gone, we needed SOMEBODY to make completely inane and rash decisions. Andrea fit the bill, I guess :)

I was hoping to hear the voice, that would just be a great episode ending if they let the viewers hear who it was.

well the episode's ok, not as exciting because it's meant to be a aftermath episode of all the things that happened. I liked that we get to see some that was incorporated in the comics like the arena in woodbury as well a the telephone scene. it would be more good if they started to look for carol in this episode and not on the next one.

SPOILERS

I hope it doesn't turn into a Sophia thing....ugh. But overall doing a bad job at hiding the fact she is still alive lol She randomly just disappears?

I think they could easily develop the Governor way faster and still have the same effect, I don't think we need these long talking heads between Andrea and him....its so boring to me.

yup it's boring... not just the governor and andrea talk but the argument between andrea and michonne about leaving cause they talk about it in every episode and same dialog and same postponing but it ended in this episode which was good...
andrea and michonne were really the bad-ass chicks in the comics and they were very likable but in this series they were kind of hold back a bit with the different scenario that they got their selves in the woodbury.

regarding the governor well yes i think it'll have a same effect. at first i thought it was interesting but now that were almost in the mid season of season 3 and we still haven't seen much of the governors darker side well it's slow and that made the whole woodbury scene's slow paced but i know that they will get to the governor's likable personality sooner. and hopefully before mid season ends.
