"The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ Costume Spoiler

NTF

Spiderman to use a different costume in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” It will look more like the Comic Book.

A source close to the production of “The Amazing Spider-Man” has revealed that the costume Peter Parker’s alter-ego dons to fight crime will be different. For years, hardcore fans have been screaming for an outfit with an original look that’s faithful to the one worn in the Spider-Man comic books. Now Marvel Studios and Columbia Pictures are listening and will deliver the dry cleaning and goods. Fans can rejoice that they’ve been heard and can proudly say they have won! I really liked the look of the suit in TASM it was the shoes that I wasn't a big fan of.

I think once it was "dolled up" for pictures and the movie, it looked absolutely awesome. Then the drawings and designs elsewhere make it look friggin cool.

I just wasn't a fan of it when it was "leaked" because without effects it looks terrible
wishingW3L  +   628d ago
it was the same with Batman and Catwoman in DKR. Both costumes looked horrible in the leaked pictures.

The new Robocop suit is looking awful too but I know it will look good in the movie even if the movie itself will suck some major ass.

"more towards the comics" what more do you need? I mean it has cosmetic changes to it, but overall the "original" is just a older looking two tone costume.....

Unless they are talking about Superior Spider-man influencing the change?

"For years, hardcore fans have been screaming for an outfit with an original look?" What original look are they referring to? I mean, I think the costume from Sam Raimi's trilogy was pretty close to the original design.

Thats what I was thinking, but I guess the spider and webbing on his costume was different? That's about it....
I could be wrong but maybe hardcore fans are looking for something along the lines of a live action Peter Parker and a hand drawn on to the screen Spidey. Because that's as close as your gonna get to the "original look" :O

the film was good.. but the actor who plays peter, not good, I mean is it that hard to find a petter parker??!!
and toby meguire wasn't close too
Wha??? Andrew Garfield NOT GOOD? I respect your opinion but Andrew Garfield is a great actor (Try 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' or 'The Social Network'). As for not being a good Peter i gotta disagree. He looks like the Spider-man: Unlimited Peter just walked off the saturday morning screen. Among other versions of Parker. I'd look for images but it sounds like WAAAAAAAAY to much work. I probably won't even finish this sente....

@xXBlondieVanHarlowXx

What are you talking about, Andrew sucks, he looks nothing like Peter Parker at all. You know how Peter was a geek and was most likely beat up at high school well Andrew looks like one of the guys who would of picked on Peter Parker.

I mean it's like they just got a pair of thick glasses slapped them on Andrew and went "Right your a geek now". He looks like an ex model...least Toby looked geeky for the part.

Honestly when will we get a Spiderman film that moves on from Highschool, I want to see an older Peter Parker who's been Spiderman for years and is finally getting to him

You guys complaining about Garfield are a riot .

" it's like they just got a pair of thick glasses slapped them on Andrew and went "Right your a geek now". He looks like an ex model"

That's exactly what parker looks like in most iteration of the comics . He looks like a model with glasses and is only geeky in personality . I dunno what do you guys expect , Peter Parker is "your average" because of his attitude and all the crap that happened to him in his civilian life , but he was always gorgeous looking and dating playboy level models , while playing with superstars friends and foes ...

Let's not pretend you guys would watch a movie with some ugly unknown mofo from his mom's basement with acnee .

"least Toby looked geeky for the part. "

it was painful , fake and akward to watch . And he couldnt even get one iota of Parker's personality on screen .

We finally get a Parker than can actually look and play the part , quips and fun included , let's not exagerate .

@Baka-akaB

Andrew is terrible...end of

They should of done a film on an older Peter Parker or sell the rights back to Marvel.

Seriously he looks like that in the comic, does he hell....are you serious.

"We finally get a Parker than can actually look and play the part , quips and fun included"

LOL

He dosen't look the part
He can't play the part well
His quips are terrible and comes off cheesy
He just isn't fun...it's so forced.

Yeah he does . My rather exhaustive comics collection can easily attest that .

a sample of what he looks like right NOW and have been looking like for eons :

http://i.annihil.us/u/prod/...

http://www.majorspoilers.co...

http://images.wikia.com/spi...

Obviously artist got their own rendition , but he is in no way less than some handsome dude

"His quips are terrible and comes off cheesy "

Wich is what Spidey's quips usually are . It's pretty much an annoyance to his foes and some of his heroes friend .

i'll not pretend it's perfect , but in my books it's easily the best spiderman rendition on theater so far

But let's just agree to disagree

PS :

I'm not disagreeing with you over the need to stop rebooting spidey and finally get an "old parker" movie . But a restart was needed to gezt away from was was a well done trilogy , but terrible spiderman and parker imo .

I hated the film too. I aint going to lie. Its by far the weakest marvel movie in the last 5 years.

I doubt they will ever do my favorite spider villain Carnage.
colonel179  +   628d ago
I liked the movie, but having all these origin stories, I have little expectation to see Carnage. At least I hope we get to see a well done Venom, and not that dreadful emo thing that was in Spiderman 3
LUCKYXS7LEVEN  +   628d ago
yea the toned the hell down verssion of Carnage

The costume is insignificant. I rather have a good story and acting. Looking forward to part II though.
