In truth, James Bond's music has been more memorable than his movies. You couldn't possibly recall the plot to "Live and Let Die," but you know every word of Paul McCartney & Wings' title tune...Not that all the songs have been hits, or even that good. Few pop culture junkies could say who sang "You Only Live Twice" in 1967. It was Nancy Sinatra, just a year after her boots got famous. No one remembers who sang "The Living Daylights" 20 years later. It was A-Ha, though no one remembers that band either.
Expect the next Bond to be a departure from Craig's style.
An Aston Martin DB5 used in Goldfinger has been recovered, 25 years after being stolen from a secure airport hangar.
James Bond has some truly epic gadgets at his disposal, and we are counting down the top ten of the coolest and most useful pieces of tech he has had the pleasure of using.
i have to agree that the opening songs really sets the tone and makes the movie memorable. but some 007 movies are relevant and memorable because of the plot.
