ABC10 News:
The wildly popular Comic-Con International convention, which attracts comic book and movie fans from around the world, will be held at the San Diego Convention Center through 2016, its operators and Mayor Jerry Sanders announced Monday.
City officials and the organizers of the celebration of pop culture said they agreed to a one-year extension of their current contract. Details, such as room rates at area hotels, still need to be worked out, said David Glanzer, Comic-Con's director of marketing and communications.
Looks like a stacked lineup not to be missed. See you in San Diego! Warner Bros. Discovery takes flight at Comic-Con 2022, as the combined divisions of the company are joining forces to mark the first in-person presence in three years at the world’s premiere comic book and popular arts convention.
It is almost time for Comic-Con at home and here is what AMC has planned.
With an in-person show impossible as planned, "Snake Eyes" will Kick Off Comic-Con At Home.
This is good news. I for one think it would be a mistake to move it to another city. I know they have a couple of big cities in mind but this one works because of the weather for the most part.
My question is, why the hell would you move SAN DIEGO Comic con out of San Diego? Too small? Then take your customers elsewhere. It's San Diego's comic con and you are part of it....no matter what there should ALWAYS be a San Diego Comic Con....just like Arizona Comic Con, or Whatever your city is Comic Con.
The weather is the tipping point to going. If you were to move it to LA, it kind of loses some appeal. No longer a nice city with nice weather, and it will most likely be hot. Normally is when we go to E3.
