The film performed poorly in studios but will no doubt do good business on Blu-Ray and DVD since the holiday season puts people in the mood to see something spooky and kooky to celebrate. Dark Shadows is perfect for viewers who want to get the chills and some thrills but not overdose on them. A good helping of humor helps to balance things out.
