As Hollywood panders to the youthful exuberance of that teenage crowd who love the back row in theatres, their gaze drifting away from the screen and towards second base, it can only be a matter of time before comic book superhero Supergirl returns to the big screen. Imagine the marketing possibilities as testosterone-fuelled boys are presented with the most powerful girl on earth – blonde, beautiful and armed with breasts that could deflect a bullet. Keep the Kryptonite at bay and she’s ready to play. Here's ten actresses who could make the grade.
Fight For Paradise Review: This reality show is nothing new but there are so many uncomfortable moments that will definitely give you the ick.
Bros Review: The series, as the title suggests, is about two adult men who want to behave like children and we are not here for that.
Going Home With Tyler Cameron Review: This is a simple, no-nonsense but cliched watch, with Cameron's boyish charms taking centre stage.
Gina Carano can't act and I don't think she has the body for it either. I love Ellen Paige but I'm not sure about her persona transferring well to the role. I do however really like Chloe Grace Moretz and Jennifer Lawrence.
I don't think anyone on that list would make a good Supergirl. I think the person would have to have some height (or proportional to work with on camera) along with a workable physique. Ellen Paige, Anne Hathaway, Emma Stone, Chloë Grace Moretz, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Saoirse Ronan and Gina Carano would have to be cut automatically based on height and/or physique. Laura Vandervoort is from the show Smallville, so I doubt she'd be considered just like no one else from the show ever made it into the Superman movies. Jennifer Lawrence? She was in X-Men: First Class already. Let's diversify with some new blood. As for Helen Slator being Supergirl today: did the writer of this list just get lazy?
