How will a "S.H.I.E.L.D." TV series work without Nick Fury, Agent Coulson or Maria Hill? Creator Joss Whedon has an answer: by introducing a completely new cast of characters.
Speaking with MTV News while promoting "Much Ado about Nothing" at the Toronto International Film Festival, Whedon revealed that he's "very far" in the process of creating the "S.H.I.E.L.D." show, complete "with a full framework and a full cast." Whedon also said that the cast would consist of new characters separate from the ones we've seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe already.
