The Victim (2012) - Popzara Movie Review

An implausible, unfocused, unrewarding story that blends a murder mystery, a crime thriller, and a character study, though there is an undeniable low-budget charm to the camerawork and the editing.

The Blu-ray Breakdown: September 17, 2012

Nicholas of Movies Hate You Too writes:

We’re back after a couple weeks of much needed vacation with one of the best Blu-ray releases of the year. Other new releases include a sleeper horror hit, an old folks exotic journey, a “California Gurl’s” concert film, and several new seasons of hit TV shows. The more vintage releases are more of a mixed bag with couple of Shatner mask sequels, a well timed comic book release, one of Tim Burton’s best films, plus one of the worst sequels I’ve ever seen.

The Victim Blu-ray Review - WGTC

Jeremy of We Got This Covered wrote, "Michael Biehn is a living-legend of an actor, having starred in countless classics over the years. The Terminator is easily my favorite film of his, but it was only a matter of time before he stepped behind the camera completely and directed his first solo feature. The Victim is the result of a passionate actor wanting to make a film with a bunch of friends and even his wife. The result is far from the campy grindhouse-styled film that the trailers marketed it to be, but there still lies a semi-watchable story underneath all of the pointless nudity and obvious plot twists."

They say this is going to be like a grindhouse film and it reads like a typical one and the story is pretty basic but might be okay but I'll not be paying for it until it's out on dvd probably.
