Overall, it is the third highest grossing 3-day weekend of all-time after The Avengers and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2, both of which were also released in 3D. The Dark Knight Rises was not in 3D at all.

it could break the record for the second week but hard to tell because its getting a lot of reviews that it is a superbly great movie but its not the epic finale fans expected from nolan..i dont know if the word of mouth will affect it..but most likely it will surpass avengers..if not, i still wont be surprise bec avengers is a very good movie
