The Daily Rotation - Why Stop Now Review

Sean of The Daily Rotation wrote, "Why Stop Now is an interesting, energetic film, even if it’s not all that great, or even that funny. Don’t get me wrong, there are parts that made me crack a smile, and a few that even made me laugh (which were mostly Tracy Morgan doing his usual shtick) and Melissa Leo and Jesse Eisenberg both hold their own as the mother/son relationship at the center of the movie. Somehow, though, the film never manages to become anything more than a predictable riff on the funny/sad formula that films have been trying to make work since the release of Little Miss Sunshine."

Why Stop Now (2012) - Popzara Movie Review

A flawed film, but its examination of the Eisenberg character is fascinating; there are indeed some very funny moments, and yet never once does the humor overshadow the story’s innate humanity.

First Trailer for Why Stop Now Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo, and Tracy Morgan

The Collider:
IFC Films has released the first trailer for Why Stop Now, previously titled Predisposed. The trailer presents a likeable farce about a piano prodigy (Jesse Eisenberg) who needs to check his drug-addict mother (Melissa Leo) into rehab on the day of his audition for a prestigious music program. Things go awry, which draws her drug dealer, Sprinkles (Tracy Morgan), into the quest. Mixed reviews out of Sundance suggest directors Phil Dorling and Ron Nyswaner fail to keep the plot under control throughout the runtime. But I’m intrigued by what I see here, even if the movie only manages to coast on the charms of its eclectic cast.

Oscar Winner Melissa Leo to Parent Jesse Eisenberg in Predisposed

Vulture says:

Last night, Melissa Leo and Jesse Eisenberg were rivals, each hoping their respective Best Picture nominees would go home with more Oscar hardware. Tonight, Vulture has learned, they're co-stars. Both are committing to star in the indie comedy Predisposed, a macabre look at the unhealthy relationship between a drug-addicted mother (Leo) and her college-bound son (Eisenberg), set on the day of both his interview at Julliard and her planned arrival to rehab.

This sounds to me like it could be a really good pairing. Something tells me a studio is looking to pair a couple current juggernauts in a bid for Oscar gold.
