But patiently waiting in the wings is "The Bourne Legacy," Universal's latest entry in the Operation Treadstone/Black Briar saga which focuses on CIA-trained assassins such as Jason Bourne.
But with screenwriter/director Tony Gilroy ("Michael Clayton") at the helm (he was also the writer and architect of the first three 'Bourne' films), 'Legacy' veers away from the series' story which has thus far centered on Jason Bourne. 'Legacy' begins with the the public and political fallout from the events of "The Bourne Ultimatum" and how that echoes out into the world.
