After roughly a month of negotiations, Ryan Reynolds has officially been cast in the lead role for HIGHLANDER. Reynolds will play Conner MacLeod, a Highlander who discovers he is one of a dwindling group of immortals who wander the earth and kill each other in combat for the final “Prize” – immortality.
The remake is set to be helmed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who is also in negotiations to rewrite the script. Neal Moritz and Peter Davis will produce the film.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
WOAH!!! Thats waaaaaaaaaaay out of left field. I kinda thought the dude who played Ganicus in Spartacus would have been the perfect for for that role.
haha! hilarious..
I love Ryan Reynolds but for this part...I'm not so sure. It will take a lot of training for that accent.
Wow that's a serious mismatch. Ryan Reynolds has too much of a baby face to be believable as the highlander.
OMG....please tell me know. I was excited about the Highlander reboot till I just heard this. I had someone more like the guy that played Jaqen H’ghar from the Game of Thrones HBO series....Tom Wlaschiha I think is his name. He would be perfect....accent could be perfectly pulled off and he's got the look down, and the demeanor. It should also be someone relatively unknown. Before Highlander, who even knew who Christopher Lambert was. That also gives them more money to put toward actual film production, sets, and Special Effects. Don't even know if I want to fool with seeing it now.
