Man of Steel, Iron Man 3, RoboCop and More Licensing Expo 2012 Photos
Coming Soon
ComingSoon.net and SuperHeroHype are attending the Licensing Expo 2012 in Las Vegas and we have gotten a chance this morning to check out the floor where we found displays for a variety of anticipated projects.
(Cinema, Despicable Me 2, Iron Man 3, Les Miserables, Lovelace, Man of Steel, Robocop)
They looked cool in those set pics, but seeing them closer and in more detail, they just look bad ass. Man, we need something official from this movie!
Yeah, especially since they've confirmed (I believe) that Man of Steel will have some sort of presence this year at SDCC. I was really hoping for a teaser or something with TDKR though.
Man Of Steel could go either way in my book. No news has come out that has blown my mind. Honestly, I'm still a fan of Superman Returns. I don't think it was as bad as some say it was.
I am right there with you on Superman Returns for SOME of the movie. I think this is going to be a very good version of the movie and the fact that there hasn't been much said in a while doesn't mean anything. They're deep into post production now, and no doubt adding the finishing touches on what we're going to see at SDCC. I mean the movie was originally slated for Q4 2012 and now it's summer 2013.
It's going to be awesome and I'll be at the midnight show.
I agree. I enjoyed much of Superman Returns...but the movie got extremely slow at some parts. Not to mention having the Cyclops guy got in the way of the Lois and Clark dynamic(Which I sorely missed).
Superman needs a enemy that tests his strength for he could actually take a full swing at them without holding back. I like Lex Luthor, but I can only see Superman getting fooled and getting kryptonited so many times. Superman Returns just retold a majority of the first movie in a new way, with a few twist. That wasn't bad, but it would've been nice to see Superman fight against someone new and different.
Throwing away the Superman-Lois dynamic was silly, to say the least. I guess no one was told how central that is to the Superman universe.
Superman Returns was OKAY....but only okay.
I nearly cried when I heard they were using the Kryptonians as the bad guys again. It's the age of CGI and it would be nice to finally see something that they couldn't have done in the original film. There are plenty of large, less-human enemies for Superman to go up against, and ones that would actually cause superman to need to review his morals (killing, protecting earth, etc, etc).
Yeah, Superman Returns was much better than Superman 3 and 4. My only beef with the new Superman is the logo. The middle part is too fat and the font is classic than modern. The Superman Returns logo looks much more modern. =/
