MATT Damon has signed up to star alongside Tom Cruise in the remake of The Magnificent Seven.
The Bourne Identity star will play Vin, the character Steve McQueen played in the original.

A source said: “MGM are throwing big money at the film and wanted some top names to fill the main parts.
“You can’t get much bigger than Cruise and Damon.”
Tom will play Yul Brynner’s role as Chris. Morgan Freeman may be villain Calvera, while Kevin Costner could play Britt.
That should make for a good old bunfight over who gets the biggest trailer.

I hope all they cast is as good as the first one was. This movie was one of the best westerns ever and it was because of the cast they put together...so far, so good. I think the Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner are just pending right now and I'm not sure about Morgan Freeman playing Caldera either.
