From Cinelinx:
Star Wars fans have had a lot to digest lately. Star Wars: Episode VII currently filming, we have a release date and director for our first Star Wars stand-alone film (coming in 2016), and this week came the announcement of Josh Trank helming another stand-alone movie. While rumors have persisted on what the upcoming stand-alone films would be about, nothing concrete has been laid out just yet. As such, they’re ripe for speculation and hopes, so I wanted to break down some story ideas I think would be well suited to Lucasfilm’s spin-off Star Wars films.
DailyMail: Star Wars favourite Han Solo is set to get his own spin-off movie in the ever-growing Star Wars empire.
The film will reportedly reveal how Harrison Ford's iconic character got the Millennium Falcon and as well as showing how he fell out with Jabba the Hutt, according to The Sun.
Filming for another spin-off focused on bounty hunter, Boba Fett, stealing plans for the Death Star will have to be completed before the Solo spin-off can begin.
Urmmmm god no
Looks nothing like him and doesn't seem like the gruff, rough type Han is known to be
We need someone a little rougher looking to show he got off to a bad start to get where he is in a New Hope.
Get Anthony Ingruber, he sounds and looks a little like a younger Ford. A total unknown aswell
WOW247: "Seeing a standalone film dedicated to ice-cold killer Boba Fett, or the first-meeting of Han Solo and Chewbacca, or explaining how Obi Wan became the local Tatooine legend he is in A New Hope, all seem very enticing."
GameZone's Lance Liebl: "You see, Anthony Ingruber does impressions. He does Jack Nicholson, Bane, all three Jokers (Mark Hamill, Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger). But he also does a spot on Harrison Ford impression. The subtleties of Harrison Ford's expressions, Ingruber does them all. He even has the perfect Harrison Ford smirk. IT'S PERFECT. Just watch for yourself."
I read an article a few years ago saying Jennifer Lawrence should play a young Han Solo. I agreed in theory but not in reality.
Think we need an actor, not an impressionist. It's what's gotten every other action star in trouble that's tried to be an imitation. He's good, I'll give him that – but it's folks like Chris Pratt that are flaunting "cool" without trying by just being themselves.
That'd be something to see.
A Kenobi vs Maul film would be EPIC providing they can get Ewan McGregor and Ray Park to do it, seeing how both have expressed an interest in returning, I can see it being totally possible.
Another thing I'd like to see on the big screen would be an adaptation of the Darth Bane novels. However being honest, I think they'd work better as a darker TV series.
