Breaking Bad Spinoff Better Call Saul Moving Forward

Rumored to be in the works a few months back, AMC has confirmed that they're moving forward with a "Breaking Bad" spin-off centered around Bob Odenkirk's character, Saul Goodman. The series is tentatively titled “Better Call Saul,” based on the character's catch phrase in the series.

I liked his character but I kinda would have preferred seeing a spinoff with Mike and Gus and his empire.

And you might still see Mike and Gus in this spin off. Its a prequel so you should if they can get them to guest star be in the show.

Problem with Mike and Gus is it would be all doom and gloom. Saul is one of the best characters in the show who can balance drama and comedy. He is perfect for a show plus his story is so dynamic that there are a lot of stories that could come from him.

My hopes are it is done in BB style and not "Joey" style. Don't ruin it. I would like it to be a 45 minute show than the 22 minute show.

I hope that Bill Burr (Kuby) and Lavell Crawford (Huell) come back I think they are both fantastic characters/actors and they really help support Sauls character.

I don't think that'd be a good idea. Gus is a good character simply because you personally put his pieces together and see basically the blunt force of his actions, all out of context. Him going through hard times without them explaining "well it built up to this" makes him a creepier and harsher character.

That and his character would be so full of plot holes if he got his own show.

It's a shame it's a prequel, I wanted to see the aftermath of Breaking Bads end impact this spin off.

Somehow I hope they put Badger and Skinny Pete in there too, those two can be hilarious when they start talking nerd lol.

HAHAH! Loved Badger and Skinny Pete

Totally get a Jay and Silent Bob feel from them lol

This being a prequel doesn't promise me Saul's survival...I shall spend the next 3 episodes filled with dread and worry....As if I haven't been already.

I think the actor behind Saul is awesome, so I'm excited for this. The way I see it, you don't just get contacts for every little thin over night. Something obviously happened to his "empire" to where he stepped back. So he could "peak" and then end up like the guy on Breaking Bad.

Notice he stays away from trouble and gets scared in sticky situations. Him losing an empire or something would explain why he is so jittery.
