Supernatural: "Torn and Frayed": IGN Review

IGN:
When we left Supernatural before the winter hiatus, Sam and Dean were separated, at odds over both Benny and Amelia. In “Torn and Frayed,” Castiel eventually managed to get them back on track, and they even appeared to shed the things that were causing them so much conflict.

Although one of the basic elements of the show is Sam and Dean working together, it is always fun to see Dean team up with Castiel. Right from the beginning when Castiel admitted that he needed Dean’s help since the case “involves talking to people”, the scenes with Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins were entertaining. We got to see Castiel hovering over a sleeping Dean, there was a call-back to Dean’s porn viewing habits, and I especially liked Castiel checking to confirm to a victim that, yes, Dean was indeed using his serious face. All of their interactions left me waiting to see much more with these two.

This was a great episode that brought both of the brothers to make hard choices and also explained a lot about what's going on in heaven. It keeps getting better and better so all they need to do is get wind of what is really happening to Cas.
