The ‘Assassin’s Creed’ film adaptation has landed a screenwriter, though it’s not anyone you will likely be familiar with.
According to THR, New Regency and Ubisoft have hired British playwright Michael Lesslie to script the movie. Lesslie has no feature-film experience on his resume, although he has written and made many short films and is highly acclaimed in his homeland for his brilliant efforts in penning the play Prince of Denmark, which was performed at the Cottesloe (National Theatre) in London in 2010.
After the failure of the 2016 movie, Disney plans to give it another go and will soon reboot Assassin's Creed with a new cast.
WGTC: "It's been revealed just how many movies that Fox had planned on making that Disney will be cutting now that it's merged with the studio."
Tomb Raider and Assassin’s Creed are the perfect examples of why movies will never replicate the feeling of playing a great game.
In my opinion the first resident evil movie was great. Not like great great. But I thought it was a genuinely good movie and stayed relatively close to the source material. Not based off any particular game but still felt like it belonged. Every one after that was just straight up terrible.
Possibly the first mortal combat was okay. Especially considering it was made in the 90’s so that’s gotta count for something being as good/bad as it was..
Just because you haven't heard of him...
Unknown to fans of games and hollywood.
i want to see this so bad, but i hope its done right!
My question is which AC game will it be based around? Will the protagonist be Altair, Ezio or Connor? Better not be Desmond...
