I don't know that I want to see a God of War movie. I think it could lend itself very well to the big screen but somehow I just can't see it becoming a "good" movie. Maybe it's because so many other videogame adaptations have sucked the big one.

In reply to below. It's not even that movie, look at their entire line up lol...."The last 4 saw movies" and more campy horror movies. So...the worst SAW movies and some terrible horror movies is making a big budget God of War movie? Great decision....

OMG from the writer of Piranha 3DD

This is doomed to suck

Yeaaaaa....I haven't seen pirhanna 3dd yet but I can't see a dude who dies something as campy as that making a serious Greek mytho style movie based on a very popular game franchise.

I wish Sony put in ten times the effort to make this good. I mean if you really look at it, Sony is the only company that could become something big when video game movies hit the big time.

Instead they seem to be going down the WB route. Won't really bother utilizing the other side of the company, while Marvel dominates lol

I mean Sony has way more franchises and access to franchises than any other company since they also own PlayStation. They could create a dominate line up. God of War, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, etc....but God of War is looking to suck, so who knows.

Indeed, Sony has a plethora of likeable characters that could potentially make some decent movies. However, like you said, they seem to be happy with mediocre pickings.
