'Star Wars' Director Search Down To 'A Couple Of Candidates'

MTV

J.J. Abrams, Jon Favreau, you name it — if they're a popular director, they're probably rumored for "Star Wars: Episode VII." The rumors and speculation are flying fast and furiously, but from what we hear, it won't be long before the chatter dies down and the facts roll out.

This is getting pretty boring now.

Much as I love Star Wars, I kind of have to agree. I'd rather things calm down until we get some OFFICIAL information. That's worth getting excited about. New directors rumors every single day is just frustrating.

My vote goes to JJ Abrams, I've absolutely loved almost everything he has done. He has created universes really well, and above all else he made Star Trek somewhat interesting to me.

Other than that I'd go with Joss Whedon because lets face it....he made the best superhero movie to date! I'd also not have to worry about it being dark under his belt either, since he a great at mixing serious and comedy together.

I'm a huge supporter of JJ Abbrams but I can't see it happening. He made an awesome Star Trek movie. I liked Trek prior to his installment but my wife had no interest and just went along to see Abrams vision with me and she came out of the movie all smiles and said "Welp...Looks like I'm a trekkie now, Who ever would have thought they'd hear me say that?

Soldierone4174d ago

I still don't like Star Trek, but his movie was actually pretty neat for what it was. Star Trek itself is just not my thing, so I lose interest.

I'm in the same boat. Love Star Wars but never watched/got into Star Trek. However I thought the movie he did was really good and I think he's an over-rated director.

I still don't get why people liked Avengers.

TitanUp4174d ago

the star trek movie was fantastic i loved it

Drewminati4174d ago

seeing disney logo before a starwars film will probably make me sick, I mean they got darth vader running around disney world holding balloons

something that will take very long time to get use to, sigh

Soldierone4173d ago

Star Wars was already a part of Disneyland though lol...and the character never do jobs, they just walk around the park and take pictures.

You've been able to buy Star Wars Mickey stuff for years now and no one cared..

Not Abrams I don't wanna see a time traveling Jedi that fight Vader.
