The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-ray Review [Collider]

Collider: The weirdest part about the release of The Amazing Spider-Man was finding out that a lot of people didn’t like the Sam Raimi films. Not just the third film, which is – for the most part – reviled, but all of them. Marc Webb had the hard job of rebooting a franchise that was still fresh in audience’s minds, and did so with Andrew Garfield as the titular web-slinger, and Emma Stone as his girl Gwen Stacy.

I actually like the Tobey Spider movies alot... even the third one lol. Sure it was campy as hell but it was fun to watch. I like what Web is doing with it. I hope it gets a tiny bit grittier though(not emo though like Spidey 3 though). This blu ray is definitely on my wish list with TDKR and the Raid Redemption.

"The weirdest part about the release of The Amazing Spider-Man was finding out that a lot of people didn’t like the Sam Raimi films." I really don't think people didn't like the Sam Raimi films. People complained about the third one, but it is entirely inaccurate to say people generally didn't like the Sam Raimi trilogy as a whole. The reboot grossed less than any of the previous films too. I think it would be more accurate to say that people weren't blown away by this reboot as its backers would have hoped.

I think it factors in other things too. For example people didn't want a reboot, just another story. People won't trust the actor for peter parker. And lastly TDK Rises released right next to it lol

The "hate for sam raimi movies" could just further add into that pile of things going against it. Yet the movie still made 260 million haha

this movie sucks and is so boring to watch

yeah. Certain stuff like the suit, the more spider-like movements were great but overall the movie was pretty much a fail compared to the first 2 from Raimi.
